Funeral Photography isn't morbid - it's powerful.

Memory isn't just about happy moments.

Documenting your family's story isn't just about weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries - it's also about change. And change, includes endings.

Funeral photography is powerful, emotional way to document the way our families change over time, and the love we've lived along the way.

Every end-of-life event is unique.

I'm Angela Strassheim, and I’m an award-winning, internationally recognized artist and photographer. And as you may have read in my biography, my career started with crime scene photography. I share this here, because it means that among professional photographers, I have a unique skillset for documenting traditionally difficult experiences in a respectful, compassionate way.

Whether you and your family are planning a memorial, a funeral, a celebration of life party, or anything in between, the memories we capture at your event will unfold into a landscape of love, and a life lived well.

We, as a culture, tend to avoid the concept of death. So the idea of having a photographer document the funeral of someone you cared for might sound daunting, or even inappropriate. However, just like a wedding - end-of-life only happens once, and the love you share there, is just as worthy of commemorating.

On to the logistics: Angela Strassheim Photography operates out of Easton, CT, and serves the entire state of Connecticut as well as the Hudson Valley and all of NYC. But if your family isn't in this neck of the woods, don't worry. I'm also available for national and international travel, just reach out, and we can have a chat.

ANGELA STRASSHEIM PHOTOGRAPHY  |  PHOTOGRAPHY PROCESS

The Process is Straightforward

Reach Out, & We'll Talk

Step one, is getting a conversation started. We'll talk about what your vision is for your photos, your priorities - and the varying ways I can meet those needs. If we're a good fit, we'll move on to step two.

The Logistics

Once we've determined we're a good fit, we'll take care of the administration side of things, like your contract, payment, package inclusions, and confirming any add-ons you want included.

Your Photos

Then, of course, it's time for us to capture your memories. Whether it's an afternoon session, or multiple days of events and celebrations, this is where artistry meets experience, and your memories come to life.

The Unveiling

But it's not over when it's over - because after your photos have been captured, it's time to make them into something you can hold in your hands. You get to relive it all over again.

Kind Words

Prints aren't an afterthought, they're part of the experience.

When you work with a photographer from the fine art world, your experience is naturally going to differ from working with a primarily commercial photographer, and one of the big reasons is the approach to material art created with your images.

Packages through Angela Strassheim Photography guarantee that years after your big day, whether it's your wedding, a family event, or your Day in the Life session, you'll be able to look back at the details that were captured. It might be every time you walk past the canvas hanging over your sofa, or when you sit at your dining table, in front of the gallery wall we created together. Or, it might be turning the pages of your wedding album every anniversary. But no matter what, you'll be able to relive that day again and again, because your love, your life, is art. And art isn't a file on a hard drive, it's an experience that grows with you over time, and reminds you what it is to be alive.

Let's begin the journey of turning your family legacy into timeless art.
